Asmara Eritrea - October 19th 2003

 

Today is Sunday. A day most people take a rest. But in my suite case are still many toys and pencils I took to Eritrea for the children. So I take a big bag and interchange a tour through Asmara and its bars with visit to all friends and relatives.

First I will Feshaye and Yordanos to bring the very special gifts for eight year old Alana. She have a special place in my heart. Bought her some nice clothes, because she always has to wear the refurbished clothes of her father, like a dress made out of an old shirt. Proud she shows het new clothes to the children in the street. She wants to know why I buy her so many presents. She eight years old, but is the only one that sends me letters. She wants me to bring her to Holland.

When the bag is empty I take the bus to the new build Orota Referral Hospital.
